Kerwin Parada
INSTRUCTOR
Kerwin was a late bloomer and did not start dancing until he was 14/15 years old. He originally started off as a self taught breakdancer along with his brother and cousins. As he went on to high school, he found his love for all styles of dance when he joined the Sisler Dance Program and the elite group, Sisler's Most Wanted. With SMW, Kerwin has danced in various styles such as hip hop, contemporary, jazz and lyrical. Aside from SMW, Kerwin also danced in community groups with Random Dance Crew and then became part of SIKAT in 2014. SIKAT has given Kerwin the opportunity to compete all over North America in cities such as San Diego, Orlando, Montreal, Toronto, Edmonton, Vancouver and Los Angeles. He has also had the chance to represent Canada with SIKAT at World of Dance Finals 2016 in LA.
Kerwin now has developed into a leader within the hip hop dance community and is helping lead SIKAT and their new generation of dancers to strive to be their best. He's organized and produced their annual end of year show called Coalescence which has now sold out for 2 straight years! Kerwin has also been a part of local artists music video projects, dance projects and as well as Nuit Blanche 2022 as a performer.
He is very excited to continue his teaching journey with Kickit and is very excited to share what he's learned from his experiences to all of his students.
