Shannon Ward

INSTRUCTOR

Shannon first joined Kickit to begin her dance career at the age of five. Since then she has trained in multiple disciplines including Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Ballet, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Contemporary, Pointe, Acro and Bollywood. Throughout her years of dance, Shannon has been recognized through scholarships, awards, and overalls in multiple competitions and conventions throughout North America, including Triple Threat Dance Convention, JUMP Dance Convention, NUVO, The View Dance Convention, Canadian National Dance Championships, CanDance, Fever, Showbiz Minneapolis, Move Dance Competition, Dance Canada, In The Zone, The View Dance Challenge and Manitoba Provincial Dance Festival. In the summer of 2012, Shannon was a part of the Rainbow Stage production of Annie, a summer well spent pursuing her passion for singing, dancing, and acting. She has also had the honour of dancing on the world stage as part of Team Canada at the World Tap Dance Championships in Riesa, Germany.

Apart from dancing, Shannon is currently completing her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Manitoba. She is looking forward to another wonderful year of dance and is thrilled to be sharing her love and passion for dance with the students of Kickit Dance Studio!
