Tyler Everley

Lyrical/Contemporary

Tyler discovered his passion for dance at the age of 7 in his first Funky Boys class. He later joined the competitive program for the 2011-2012 season and joined the Kickit staff in 2018. Tyler has trained, and continues to train, in various styles including Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Acro and Bollywood. As a competitive dancer, he has been recognized through special awards, scholarships and overalls at a number of competitions including Canadian National Dance Championships, Manitoba Provincial Dance Festival, CanDance Regina, VIEW Dance Challenge, Move Dance Competition, Fever Regina, In The Zone, Triple Threat Dance Convention and JUMP Dance Convention. In 2014 Tyler was selected as a performer for the opening ceremonies of the Human Rights Museum. He was also selected to represent Canada at the 2016 IDO World Tap Championships as part of the team that brought home a silver medal. Tyler’s passion for dance has led him into the world of Musical Theatre where he has had the opportunity to perform in two Rainbow Stage productions, Shrek The Musical (2016) and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella (2019). Tyler will be attending the Village Conservatory this year to continue his training in Musical Theatre, with hopes to attend a performing arts school next fall. Tyler is so excited to share his love for dance with his students and can’t wait for another incredible year at Kickit!
