Rebecca Shaw

INSTRUCTOR

Rebecca began her dancing journey at the age of 4 at Kickit Dance Studio. She immediately fell in love with the art of dancing and the studio itself and her feelings remain the same. She refers to the studio as her second home and her teammates and the Kickit staff members as her family. Rebecca has made friends that will last a lifetime through dance and the studio has done a wonderful job shaping Rebecca into the person and dancer she is today. The overwhelming support and encouragement from the studio has helped Rebecca accomplish great things; like being in the 2017 Canada summer games opening ceremony performance, being a backup dancer for the mini pop kids and in music videos for local artists, she was also apart of a flash mob that took place at the Investors Group Field.

Kickit has also given Rebecca the opportunity to be a part of the competitive program at the studio. She has been a competitive dancer for the past 8 years and has trained in many styles, some of which being, Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Musical Theatre , Acro and Bollywood. She has competed at competition such as The View Dance Challenge, Canadian National Dance Championships, Candance, Fever Dance Championships, Dance Canada, Manitoba Dance festival and more. She has been recognized through special awards and scholarships for both solos and group dances and will continue to share her love for the stage in the coming dance season. This will be Rebecca’s third year being a part of the kickit staff and is so excited to share her love for dancing with her students in every way she can.
